The School of Public Policy is committed to creating an engaged and inclusive learning community. This includes out of the classroom opportunities such as internships and study abroad as well as access to student services that allow for mental and physical health and the development of your personal leadership. Experiential learning such as this enhances students’ ability to serve, lead and gain practical and valuable skills for the workplace and beyond.
Being engaged in our community is also part of our responsibility as an engaged citizen. Both our in-class and out-of-class experiences take advantage of our geographic location. As a land-grant institution just a few miles from the nation’s capital, situated in Prince George’s County and just a short distance away from Baltimore and the state capital of Annapolis, the School of Public Policy provides students with access to high-quality experiential learning opportunities through internships, job shadowing, and site-based projects.
