Professor Wedel will discuss her book that brings an anthropologist's insights into the process by which public policy is made in the United States. Applying her early professional years of living and observing the power networks in communist Poland in the 1980s. Professor Wedel sees the same type of social, political, and economic networks at work in making policy in the United States to the frequent detriment of the public good.
