Philanthropy Fellows

The Philanthropy Fellows program is an internship pipeline and professional development program linking graduate and undergraduate students from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy’s Do Good Institute to semester or year-long fellowship opportunities with Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers’ (WRAG) members.

WRAG is a network of over 100 foundations and corporate giving programs that support nonprofits serving the Greater Washington region. WRAG’s mission is to promote effective and responsible philanthropy in the region. All organizations at which Philanthropy Fellows are placed are members of WRAG. WRAG convenes dozens of gatherings throughout the year focused on a variety of issues of importance to the local philanthropic community, including affordable housing, the arts, health and community wellness, veterans, and more.

Past Philanthropy Fellows placements include organizations such as the J. Willard and Alice Marriott Foundation, United Way of the National Capital Region, Capital One Foundation, the Community Foundation of Prince George’s County, Venture Philanthropy Partners, Arabella Advisors, Deloitte, AARP, and Kaiser.
