"The Role of Nuclear Power in Reducing Carbon Emissions"
To avoid potentially catastrophic changes in the Earth's climate, world energy supply must shift over the next several decades toward carbon-free sources, such as wind, solar, biomass, and nuclear energy. Of these nuclear energy has particular promise for large-scale expansion, if the challenges of operational safety, waste disposal, and nuclear proliferation can be managed.
