Labor Policy

Recently OEP has participated in several projects involving labor issues and policy. Ongoing since 2001, the Office has facilitated meetings of the Labor Law Enforcement agencies. Started as a partnership with NAPA , the program is the first-ever instance of labor law enforcement agencies convening regularly to share learning. Also in 2001, OEP developed the National Labor College (NLC) Certificate as an ongoing agreement with NLC and the University of Baltimore School of Public Administration to provide a series of labor policy courses for graduate level course credit. Finally, in 2002, Fred Feinstein, a Senior Fellow at OEP, served as coordinator of the Organizing Research Network (ORN) along with the Economic Policy Institute (EPI). ORN is a network composed of academics and organizers intended to encourage and facilitate research on the question of union organizing. Dr. Feinstein's work with ORN and EPI continues today.
