Certificate Programs

The University currently offers graduate certificate programs, specializing in intelligence analysis and security studies:

Certificates consists of four, three-credit courses (12 graduate academic credits in total) and is offered in several formats, including semester-long course offerings and executive, condensed formats. All certificate program course sessions incorporate a variety of learning styles and students' learning in the classroom is reinforced through enrichment experiences such as brown-bag lunch seminars with leading thinkers and practitioners in the field of public policy and intelligence analysis.

The School, through the James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership and the Office of Executive Programs, specializes in developing and delivering executive education and will work with clients to tailor each program to address specific client challenges and desired competencies. Certificate in Intelligence Analysis

The objective of the Certificate Program in Intelligence Analysis is to develop students' proficiency in a uniform set of core conceptual competencies and skills that all those involved in the delivery and support of major national security and intelligence agencies should possess, as well as additional conceptual competencies important to particular forms of intelligence analysis.

Current and future intelligence community analysts will benefit from completion of this certificate program. Students may choose four courses below to complete their certificate. Two courses are required—Intelligence Policy and Organization— and —Intelligence and Policy: Executive, Congressional, and Public Dimensions—the remaining two are elective.

Below are examples of relevant existing courses. The School will work with clients to develop new courses or customize existing courses to more appropriately target client needs.
