The University of Maryland School of Public Policy believes that the future of intelligence analysis has never been more important that it is today, and the need for highly educated analysts and personnel is greater than ever. Those involved in the delivery of intelligence analysis and those who support major national security and intelligence agencies should possess a well-thought out, uniform set of core competencies, incorportaing technical and leadership skills.

The School of Public Policy has developed multiple educational programs and is actively expanding curriculum to assist the Intelligence Community (IC) in developing a well-equipped, results-oriented, and responsible cadre of public leaders.

The School, through the James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership and the Office of Executive Programs, has partnered with several federal agencies within the IC to offer non-credit seminars and workshops, in addition to for-credit, graduate certificate and degree programs specializing in the following areas:
